A&E hoped their docuseries Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G. would be the gateway to a new audience, and we were tapped to ensure that goal became a reality. We executed a multicultural-focused campaign including strategy, content creation, social media, and PR.
Our cultural understanding allowed us to create content that massively resonated with audiences, and give fans assets to post to their own channels. To bring Biggie back to the forefront of conversation, we produced a Facebook Live roundtable featuring Faith Evans, and licensed Biggie’s hit “Hypnotize” to create a brand new lyric video.
From a PR perspective, we made sure the right publications had a lot to tell readers. We coordinated a series of interviews for Faith and Biggie’s mother, Violetta Wallace, secured an exclusive trailer premiere with HipHopDX, and sent tune-in reminders to key journalists.
