Weekend Recap

the-avengers-2-full-page-featureThis action packed weekend included a very intense Clippers vs Spurs game, Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight of the centure, and watching the newly release of Avengers 2! The Clippers vs Spurs game was so close and I'm surprised that was more entertaining than the fight. I don't agree on who won or how the judges unanimously voted on Mayweather's side. The Avengers was a GREAT movie and I highly recommend everyone to see it! –Michelle (Instagram)

PhotoGrid_1430623064076Although the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight was a little lackluster, the food wasn't! There was a lot of Filipino pride at the fight party I attended so everyone in attendance were treated to lumpia, pancit, chicken adobo and lechon (roast pig). –Kelly (Twitter|Instagram)

avengers-2-age-of-ultronThis weekend, I watched Avengers: Age of Ultron again with the fam and I decided that I really like it. Its not the greatest movie, but it definitely has a lot to offer. Its a really fun summer blockbuster. I've also decided that this version of Quicksilver is my favorite. –Allen (Twitter|Instagram)

unnamed (1)Spent the weekend relaxing and hanging out with friends from out of town. Saturday we watched sports all day, with the Clippers game 7 and of course the fight, which turned out to be a dud. Sunday we all went to watch the new Avengers movie, which had non-stop action and a pretty complex storyline. –Kyle (Twitter|Instagram)pancakesOn Friday I went to the Pancakes & Booze Art Show at Lot 613 downtown. It's an underground art show that supports local artists and musicians featuring everything from body painting to live music. I think there were over 50 local artists that contributed to the event and it was such a cool venue. Not to mention there were all you can eat pancakes! –Annie (Twitter)

avengers-age-of-ultron-trailer-comic-con-2014Every Sunday our theatre has $6 movie tickets, so the theatre was super packed. Overall I thought it was a good movie, but since I watched it in 3-D and sat in the front row (we got there late), it was hard to absorb what was going on from that proximity and angle, especially the action scenes, so I'll probably watch it again. –James

https://instagram.com/p/2Reuqipadh/I went to Universal Studios, mainly to check out the newly added Simpsons-themed facilities and they are awesome! They have everything from Lard Lad Donuts to Krustyland, Krusty Burger, the Springfield Power Plant, Moe's Tavern and much more! Although I love all the other rides and attractions as well, this has got to be the funnest part of the theme park by far! –Theresa (Twitter|Instagram)
