Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap 5-19-14This weekend, we stayed in LA and caught summer flicks, celebrated streetwear on Fairfax, caught/performed improv, and brunched/dined spectacularly.edge-tomAlthough it's not creating the impact at the box office that the studio predicted, I still went and checked out the new Tom Cruise flick Edge of Tomorrow this weekend. Must see! The movie is basically like a video game. But increasingly many action films are getting their cues from console world. Seems fitting with E3 going one right now in DTLA. I don't want to spoil the movie. I'll let this article from Vulture do that for you. –Ryan (Twitter|Instagram)Caught the new Tom Cruise summer blockbuster, Edge of Tomorrow, over the weekend. Its definitely a super entertaining summer action film. It also is a fun take on time travel if ya'll like that stuff. Go watch it if you like Tom Cruise and action. It also has aliens. –Allen (Twitter|Instagram)photoThis weekend was pretty chill. Had a BBQ with friends went to a cool improv show and tried the new neighborhood spot, Playa Provisions. Amazing brunch — I had a coconut chia seed pudding topped with fresh fruit! –Kristen (Twitter|Instagram)Screen Shot 2014-06-09 at 4.22.13 PMChecked out Youth Fairfax's 1 year anniversary; congrats to @mizzle_jbc! –Jasmin (Twitter|Instagram)http://instagram.com/p/pAO3akDKyU/Friday night, chilled at an underground bar in DTLA called The Crane — good vibes and a jukebox. Saturday, dined at Sugarfish and Bottega Louie, followed by my first experience at the Abbey in WeHo — ridiculously fun! Especially during LA PRIDE. Sunday was my long-awaited Improv 101 Grad Show at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater. I was so nervous beforehand, but it was super fun and my class killed it. Thanks to my instructor Joe Hartzler for teaching us skillz! —Diana (Twitter|Instagram)
