Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap Easter 2013photoI escaped chilly Los Angeles this weekend for some R&R in nice, warm Palm Springs. –Kristen (Twitter|Instagram)urlI spent my Easter exploring some history with CNN's After Jesus: The First Christians. The holidays always make me want to jump on Wikipedia and find out the reasons behind the celebrations. This kept me pretty busy throughout the evening. –Ryan (Twitter|Instagram)

lock n key

Even though my birthday was technically on April 22, I got to finally celebrate it with my Cashmere fam this past Friday at Lock & Key in Koreatown. Good music, cool decor, and awesome specialty cocktails made this one of my new favorite spots. Big thanks to Renee for letting me celebrate along with her, to the boss man Seung for the Veuve Clicquot champagne bottle, and to Annie and Kristen for the planning and the cupcakes! –Kyle (Twitter|Instagram)candice easter eggs-easter-colorful-sweetI had a pastel-colored weekend, which included a friend's birthday party Saturday night and spending Easter Sunday with my family. Here's a random picture of some pretty pastel-colored eggs for your viewing pleasure. –Candice (Twitter|Instagram)Screen Shot 2013-04-01 at 2.57.29 PMI had brunch at LA's best deli. –Jesse (Twitter|Instagram)photo (1)I hung out at Moonshadows with friends and I watched Starsky and Hutch on TV. –Jasmin (Twitter|Instagram)

Happy Passover/Easter to everyone! –Hila (Twitter|Instagram)photo (3)This weekend I went up to Santa Barbara for my brother’s 21st birthday.  My mum came down from San Francisco for the occasion and we had dinner at this amazing sushi place on State Street, before exploring some of the local bars. –Sarah (Twitter|Instagram)Screen Shot 2013-04-01 at 11.36.06 AM (1)This weekend, I watched the season premiere of Game of Thrones, season 3. I also watched Blancanieves (Snow White), a take on the Snow White and Seven Dwarfs story set in 1920s Spain with a bullfighting backdrop. –Gabil (Twitter|Instagram)[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuETPcyIR6E?list=UU5Lo1v1Wi_ZlwpI8Vlk4rqw&w=600&h=315]I spent my Easter Sunday with the Israeli side of my family. We went out to Calabasas to celebrate a family friend's bday and their awesome new house in Calabasas. We ate tons of kabobs, chilled by the pool, and mobbed the neighborhood in BMWs. –Whoopi (YouTube|Twitter|Instagram)photo-1This weekend was Easter which means fellowship, food and minimal sleep lol. I attended church services, a Women's conference led by some great speakers including comedian Anjelah Johnson (benefitting anti-human trafficking organization Unlikely Heroes), brunch at Marmalade Café in Calabasas and dinner in Downtown Disney.  To top it off, a trip to the movies to see Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Brandy and Kim Kardashian star in Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, and exploring the functionality of newly found app "My Cam." Fun, but busy weekend! –Misty (Twitter|Instagram)imageIn celebration of Easter, my family and close friends got together and had an Easter BBQ cookout. Being surrounded by the people that mean the most to me was a great way to celebrate such an important holiday! –Bree (Twitter|Instagram)image

image-1image-3This weekend I checked out a sick art gallery called #FactoryWest on Santa Monica Blvd, just east of Fairfax, and saw some sick art.  There was a Red Bull show Thursday of last week so the gallery had a bunch of art from different street artists. Louis Carreon  had a lot of pieces in the back of the gallery including this crazy mural.I met the gallery owner Chris Hemerlein and he told me that Louis would have a full show at the end of April.  #FactoryWest is a great venue and I look forward to seeing Louis' show and attending (or throwing) other events there in the future. –Teff (Twitter|Instagram)photo 1photo 2photo 3-1This weekend was a busy one! Saturday I attended my grandmothers funeral. I also attended the Paid Dues music festival where I ran into Fuzzy & W.C. Ended my Sunday night with a bottle of Moët & chocolate covered strawberries. –Joseph (Twitter|Instagram)easterweekend

Hooray for Snoop's new Youtube show that launched! Hoping for successful webisodes. Shoutout to #GGOD! The logo is looking real nice, shoutout to JP for throwing that together nicely. While designing Easter eggs, I definitely saw a broken leg happen during March Madness! –Jane (Twitter|Instagram)
