Thoughts on Tech: U2 & Apple Collaborate to Mixed Reviews

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXJz3C12bWs&w=640&h=360]In case you have been off the grid for a few days, Apple concluded their conference on Tuesday with a performance from U2 live on stage. The performance was part of a bigger collaboration between the tech giant and the iconic band to release their new album Songs of Innocence. The album has also appeared in the iTunes account as a free download for 500 Million users. Although it was a great opportunity for both Apple to look hip and cool, as well as U2 to have a big media moment to announce the release, not everyone was thrilled about the partnership. The idea of the music being force fed to so many users didn't give off the best impression, especially to a younger, Apple consumer base. What did you think of this partnership? Was it cool for such a worldwide superstar band to basically force you to have their new music? Check out some of the feedback on Mashable, The Verge, and The New York Times.- Kyle (@kyledineen)
