Last night's American Music Awards, co-hosted by Jay Pharoah and Gigi Hadid, was jam packed with show stopping performances, sentimental acceptance speeches, and (as expected) the occasional political statement. Cashmere Agency watched the awards show closely, and picked our own personal winners of the night. Our top 'OMG' moments are outlined below:Selena GomezThe songstress, who has been avoiding the media spotlight as she grapples with the side effects of her Lupus diagnosis, returned to the stage to accept her 'Artist of The Year' award. The singer delivered a standout acceptance speech, reminding viewers that "If you are broken, you do not have to stay broken."DrakeThe rapper landed a record 13 nominations this year, managing to beat Michael Jackson's record set in 1984. Not only did Drake take home the win for "Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album," but we were thrilled when he gave fellow former-Degrassi actress Nina Dobrev a shoutout when she presented him with the award. A noteworthy #TBT moment indeed.A Tribute to PrinceThe American Music Awards are one of the most notable nights in music, so it was only fitting that music legend Prince received special recognition. Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, accepted the award for "Best Soundtrack" for "Purple Rain" for her late brother. Her passionate speech had both audience members, and viewers watching at home, drying their eyes and paying tribute to the unforgettable artist. The CollaborationsThe night was filled with impressive collaborations and performances. The song that has been on replay when we are at the gym and during our morning commute to work, Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $Ign's "Work From Home" won "Collaboration of the Year." Not to mention, there extraordinary performances from John Legend, who sang "Love Me Now" and Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's duet "Side To Side."
