TechCrunch Announces 'Startup Battlefield' Competitors at 2016 Disrupt SF
Today marks the start of Disrupt San Francisico, an exciting three day conference featuring some of the tech community's most gifted entrepreneurs and investors. Disrupt SF is well-known for introducing the nation's most innovative individuals and enabling them to 'break the ceiling' with their ideas and prototypes. There is also TechCrunch's famous Startup Battlefield Competition in which one very promising startup company will take home the Disrupt Cup and a $50,000 grand prize.TechCrunch recently announced the lineup of startup companies invited to participate in the 2016 Startup Battlefield. These 23 companies will compete for one of the most prestigious and well-recognized tech prizes in the nation. The competition will showcase the most disruptive startup companies currently at work (staying true to its name) and the eclectic lineup consists of those specializing in gaming, robotics, and medical technology. Although the Bay Area is well-known as the leader in churning out groundbreaking technology specialists and creative startup ideas, competitors will hail from across the globe.These companies have been working months to finalize and fine-tune their pitches- and the final products are expected to leave an indelible mark on business and technology - all within just six minutes per presentation. Competitors will then be subjected to a grueling live Q&A session with judges.
