Tech Tuesdays: Google Reorganizes, Launches Alphabet

Google chief executive Larry Page took to Google's blog yesterday to announce that Google would be reorganizing under a new name, Alphabet. Under this new structure, Google would be slimmed down and its more left field companies, such as Calico and Life Sciences, would fall under the Alphabet umbrella. This will also allow Google to continue funding its more "moonshot" endeavors, such as the driverless car, without rattling investors.Additionally, Page and his partner, Sergey Brin, will be running Alphabet as CEO and President, respectively, while Sundar Pichai will be leading the helm at Google as CEO.Check out this infographic that USA Today put together that shows where all the Google companies will be moving forward:google
