President Obama Drops The Mic

The annual White House Correspondents Dinner was on Saturday and there were plenty of things of note. There was an annual roasting session to remind the country that the President is human like all of us, and the President saved his best for last. The President poked fun at celebrities, journalists, politicians, and his favorite person, Donald Trump. All in all, it was a night to celebrate Obama's presidency, and to have a good time with the people who have been a constant presence throughout his presidency. President Obama ended the dinner in style, by dropping the mic, and exiting with just two words: "Obama out." are some highlights from the night:In reference to Donald Trump:

"Eight years ago, I said it was time to change the tone of politics; in hindsight, I really should have been more specific.""There is one area where The Donald's experience could be useful, and that is closing Guantanamo — Donald knows a thing or two about running waterfront properties into the ground."

He took some time to jab at the members of the media in attendance as well.

"As you know, Spotlight is a film about investigative journalists with the resources, the autonomy, to chase down the truth and hold the powerful accountable. Best fantasy film since Star Wars."

Larry Wilmore, the guest comedian of the night, created waves of his own. He had some funny things to say about the President.

"Oh, I just got a note from the president saying that if you want another drink, you should order it now because the bar will be closing down. Of course, he said the same thing about Guantanamo, so you have at least another eight years."
