#NoGunsAllowed Benefit in San Francisco: An Evening to Rid Gun Violence
Our nation is no stranger to gun violence. With the recent mass shooting in Santa Barbara that claimed the lives of six innocent college students and other senseless acts of gun violence that break headlines each day, it's important to do our part to help end this vicious cycle.Cashmere along with Snoop Dogg, The League of Young Voters Education Fund and sf.citi founder Ron Conway, hosted a "No Guns Allowed" Benefit last night to shed light and bring awareness to this ongoing issue of gun violence and gun safety. Over 300 attendees came out to the Airbnb Headquarters in San Francisco last night to make a difference and help fight gun violence. Key attendees included: NFL Hall-of-Famers Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott, recording artist MC Hammer, Swimmer Diana Nyad, former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr, Executive Director of the League of Young Voters, Dr. Robert "Biko" Baker, former Arizona Representative Gabby Giffords and Paul Pelosi.The event included live auctions of signed memorabilia from Snoop Dogg and former 49er Joe Montana among other items whose proceeds went toward Snoop Dogg and the League of Young Voters' "No Guns Allowed" anti-gun violence campaign and the Snoop Youth Football League.
