AT&T Releases "SnapperHero", Snapchat's First Scripted Content Series

Just last week, Snapchat announced the launch of their new Discover Section, a curated selection of short news stories from some of media's top publishers, including Food Network, CNN, ESPN, and Vice. The Discover section is a collection of content created by these brands and Snapchat's own editorial staff. I personally love this new feature, seeing my favorite sports and news stories in quick 5-15 second bits. But Snapchat didn't stop there.Today, AT&T, in partnership with Snapchat, released Snapperhero, the social network's first ever scripted content series. The campaign tapped some of the biggest influencers from Snapchat, Vine, and YouTube to promote the campaign. According to the release, "Influencers and stars of the show include Anna Akana (The Foster;Hello, My Name is Dorris; Monsters), Freddie Wong (Video Game High School),Harley Morenstein (Epic Meal Time), Jasmeet Singh (JusReign), Simone Shepherd (Hell Date; What The Funny), and Shaun McBride (Shonduras) who will also serve as Creative Director."This is a huge step for not only AT&T, but Snapchat as well. With both of these new features and added values, the platform is sure to continue its monumental growth and foray into branded content and advertising that is unique to its network. We are very interested to see how the content turns out and how other brands will jump on the boat. Check it out and let u know what you think!
