30,000 Women Run the Streets of San Francisco

This past weekend, I was humbly invited to run alongside 30,000 amazing women (+ a few good men) in San Francisco for the 10th anniversary of the Nike Women’s Marathon. Being able to run the empty streets and treacherous hills of the city was a once in a lifetime experience that was both motivating and inspiring. After a year long recovery from an injury (training for the LA Marathon), it felt great to cross the finish line.

Above all, it was so incredible to see people from around the world come together for a bigger cause, which was to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — in 10 years, Nike has raised $143 million dollars.

Thanks to the great team and Nike for putting on a stellar event — I can’t wait to return next year for the 11th anniversary!! –Kristen (Twitter|Instagram)
